Less cringey self-promotion.
More getting noticed. Simple.
It’s a crazy, non-retained, project-based world out there. Free-Agency is here to help you make a living in it.
Go with the project-based flow.
With the market is trending towards lean, mean scalable teams, there’s never been a better time to be a freelancer. Really. It’s ace out here.
The real problem is simply getting found - and standing out.
That’s where Free-Agency comes in. Born to support freelancers, and made to help them be found more easily.
Name drop. Mic drop.
Sure, you can flood LinkedIn with double-spaced ‘thought leadership’ posts. Craft another cute email to another busy ECD. Been there, spammed that.
Fact is, the best way to get a gig? Is being the trusted referral of a trusted Someone.
Free-Agency reinvents the tried-and-true referrer system, so resource managers can book you with confidence.
Low joining fee. (That’s 100% claimable on your BAS).
Before you ask - it stands for Business Activity Statement. It’s a record of all your income for the quarter, and all your business expenses (like this).
ABN holders (like you, because you’ll need one to freelance) can deduct business expenses from the GST you owe the government each quarter. Making Free-Agency’s super-low fees, literally a negligible business expense.
Less than Netflix per month.
Free Agents pay a small fee to be listed on our site. Choose either monthly or yearly.
Membership fees go towards advertising the hell out of Free-Agency (and you). So we can target resource managers where they scroll and where they work.
The bigger we get? The more eyeballs we can point your way.

But a truly useful, efficient and reliable source of proven talent, all in one place.

Both parties are responsible for negotiating the terms of the booking yourselves.
Make sure you get paid what you’re worth, and negotiate any requirements up front. The more professional you are, the more likely you’ll be booked, again and again and again. -
In the infamous words of Dylan G. - there can be some jerks out there. Ones that underpay, change terms after the work is done, or don’t pay at all.
If that happens, let us know and we’ll remove their access to the site. Because the likelihood is, if they’ll do it to you, they’ll do it to someone else. -
Firstly, mazeltov. We love this for you.
Second, if you get a perm gig somewhere, or decide to become a hairdresser, that’s 100% all good - we’ll take you off the site immediately. And come visit for a blow-wave sometime.
However, once you’ve paid your subscription fees, they aren’t refundable. So if you’re actively looking for permanent work, choosing the monthly subscription option might be the right fit for you.
